With over 30 years of experience in eDiscovery and database management, Justin Cooper, Founding Partner of NorthStar, leads the firm’s eDiscovery and ESI consulting team. As a Certified eDiscovery Master, he frequently assists clients in drafting, negotiating, and responding to ESI protocols in both civil and criminal matters. Justin’s expertise covers a wide range of electronic discovery issues, including negotiating scope and ESI protocols, developing search criteria, and preparing for 30(b)(6) depositions. He also plays a key role in drafting and responding to document requests, participating in meet-and-confer conferences, and developing strategies for document preservation and collection, as well as managing document repositories.
Having been involved in over 400 trials, arbitrations, and mediations across state and federal courts, Justin is also an expert courtroom strategist and technologist. He advises clients on all aspects of trial presentation, focusing on identifying key issues and translating complex legal concepts into clear, persuasive case strategies that resonate with juries.
